Gunmen invade police station in Bayelsa, kill one officer and injure three others

Gunmen this morning at about 8am, stormed Kolo Police Station in Ogbia LGA of Bayelsa State, killing one police officer and injuring three others.

Police officers who escaped unhurt, claim the attack might have been carried out by suspected oil thieves.

This incident comes one week after suspected militants ambushed and killed four soldiers at Letugbene community in Southern Ijaw local government area of the state.
