Following the worrisome economic state of the country, the governors of the thirty-six states will reportedly meet with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja, to discuss the way forward.
According to the Director, Media and Public Affairs of Nigeria Governors’ Forum Secretariat, Abdulrazaque Bello-Barkindo, the governors believe it is time to tell each other the truth by confronting each other on the situation and brainstorming on it.
He added that two things will feature prominently in the conversation: the economy and security.
The meeting which, according to the invitation issued by the Director-General of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum Asishana Bayo Okauru, is expected to commence at 2 pm.
