The eight newly appointed first class traditional rulers in kwara state who were today presented staff of office have been urged to use their new status to further unify and uplift kwara residents due to their closest to the grassroots.

Presenting the staff of office, the kwara state Governor, Doctor abdulfatah ahmed noted that traditional rulers are vital partners in ensuring development in communities, saying that their appointment were made in accordance with Laws Cap C9 of the Laws of Kwara State.
While commending the Emir of Ilorin Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari who is also the chairman of kwara
state council of chiefs for the invaluable contribution to the appointment process, Governor Ahmed enjoin all sons and daughters of communities of the Royal Fathers to accord them maximum support and cooperation.
The newly elevated royal fathers includes, the Olosi of Osi;, Olupako of Share;, Aloffa of Iloffa; and Olusin of Isanlu Isin. Others are the Emir of Okuta;, Emir of Gwanara; Emir of Ilesha Baruba; and Emir of Yashikira.
