Gov AbdulRazaq approves absorption of defunct Kwara Express staff into KWARTMA

The Executive Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq had approved the absorption of the staff of the defunct Kwara Express into the service of the Kwara State Road Traffic Management Authority, (KWARTMA).

The personnel totaling 73 were directed to report at KWARTMA Headquarters for resumption of work with immediate effect.

The Kwara State Head of Service, Mrs Oluwole Susan Modupeola who was at KWARTMA Office with the staff charged them to see the opportunity as a rare privilege and be up and doing in the new task ahead of them.

She reminded them that though, the operations of KWARTMA and Kwara Express are similar, they should be prepared to cope with the differences that may occur in their schedule and cooperate with the management and staff of KWARTMA in order to move the agency forward.

The HOS also appreciated them for being peaceful during their struggle and assured them of His Excellency’s continuous support to their wellbeing and welfare.

The CEO of KWARTMA, Alh. Yekeen Babatunde Bello while welcoming the Kwara state HOS, appreciated her for the concern for the progress of authority and assured her of the readiness to make the best use of the new staff in the area of traffic management.

He pleaded with the Kwara state government through kwara state HOS to fastrack other logistic requirements needed by the authority in order to meet the demand and yearnings of Kwara road users in line with the best standard practices while also appreciating the Governor for his unrelenting efforts in making Kwara great through the ISENLO MANTRA – meant to develop the state in which traffic management is a critical sector in the socioeconomic development of the state.

In response, the new staff through their spokesperson, Comrade Salihu, expressed their appreciation to the Governor, the head of service and KWARTMA.

He assured the state government of their readiness to work and cooperate with the management of KWARTMA in moving the state forward.
