Nigeria’s Flying Eagles are expected to fly out to Germany today to begin final preparations ahead of the FIFA Under-twenty World Cup in Poland. Head coach of the team Paul Aigbogun is also expected to release the names of players that will be part of the training camp today.
The players and their officials, all things being equal, will travel to Germany aboard Luthfansa Airline on Saturday night. Captain of the side, Ikouwen Udoh, as well as Valentine Ozornwafor, Igor Ogbu, Adamu Alhassan, Yahaya Nazifi and a host of other regulars are expected to be named in the squad.
The Flying Eagles who finished fourth at the Under-twenty Africa Cup of Nations in Niger early this year will face the USA, Ukraine and Qatar in Group D of the competition.
Paul Aigbogun’s men will begin their campaign against Qatar on May twenty-fourth at the Stadion Miejski w Tychach, Tychy. The biennial competition will be staged in six Polish cities; Lodz, Bielsko-Biala, Bydgoszcz, Gdynia, Lublin and Tychy from 23 May to 15 June 2019.
