Operative of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) today arrested former Abia state governorship candidate, Uche Ogah, over allegations of forgery.
Ogah who is the president of oil firm, Masters Energy Oil and Gas, is alleged to have conspired with some persons still at large to forge a Memorandum of Understanding between his company, Masters Energy Oil and Gas Limited and Mut-Hass Petroleum Limited sometime in March 2011.
Ogah was arrested at the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court, Lagos Island where the case of forgery which was initially filed by the police was being heard.
At the hearing, the police asked the court for a withdrawal of the case against the accused persons since the matter was still under investigation by the Special Fraud Unit and has to be well investigated before he is summoned to court.
Ogah was arrested by the EFCC operative as soon as he stepped out of the court premise.
