Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is reportedly said to arraign the former Accountant-General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, and others over alleged one hundred and nine billion naira fraud.
According to EFCC’s spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, “the commission will arraign Idris at the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Abuja, today before Justice Adeyemi Ajayi”.
Idris and others face fourteen charges of stealing and criminal breach of trust to the tune of over one hundred and nine billion naira.
“He will be arraigned alongside three others, including: Godfrey Olusegun Akindele, Mohammed Usman and Gezawa Commodity Market and Exchange Limited” Idris said
It is recalled that the federal government suspended Idris as the Accountant-General of the Federation after his arrest in Kano over the fraud allegation and was suspended on May 18.
