Dambazau begins probe of Interior Ministry from 1999 to date

Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau has inaugurated an 11-member ad-hoc committee to examine the Public Private Partnership (PPP) and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) entered into by the ministry since 1999.Abdulrahman-Dambazau

His Press Secretary, Osaigbovo Ehisienmen disclosed this in a statement in Abuja yesterday.

He quoted Dambazau as saying that the move was in furtherance to his determination at promoting the “change” agenda of the current administration with a view to ensuring good governance, transparency and accountability in the conduct of government business.

Dambazau reminded members of the committee of its core objectives, which include- to guide federal government and indeed the Interior ministry on the appropriate ways of actualising the objectives for which PPP was set up.

The Committee has six weeks to complete its assignment.

Mrs. Morayo Alimi (Director, Planning, Research and Statistics) will act as its chairperson while Mr. Bola Odugbesan, (Legal Adviser in the Ministry) will serve as secretary.
