A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered that former Governor of Adamawa State, Adamu Umaru Fintiri be remanded in Kuje prison, Abuja.
Justice Ahmed Mohammed made this remand order shortly after Fintiri was arraigned on a five-count charge of money laundering.
Fintiri is accused of engaging in money laundering activities involving a cumulative sum of over N1billion. Although he pleaded not guilty to the charge, he is to remain in prison custody until Friday when the court will rule of his bail application.
