Chelsea boss Antonio Conte said he took responsibility for failing to motivate his side in Sunday’s defeat by Manchester United. The Blues lost two-nil at Old Trafford and are now just four points ahead of Tottenham at the top of the table, having led by ten points in March.
The Italian added he had not been able to “transfer the right concentration, desire, ambition to win the game”.
Meanwhile, Liverpool reclaimed third spot in the Premier League after Roberto Firmino’s header sealed a hard-fought one-nil victory against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.
West Brom created the best chances in a largely uneventful first half before Firmino nodded home Lucas’s flick on to register his eleventh league goal of the season just before the break.
