Antonio Conte has been named Manager of the Year by the League Managers Association in recognition of his title-winning first season as Chelsea head coach.
The Italian becomes only the third non-British winner of the prestigious award after Claudio Ranieri was honored for guiding Leicester to the title last year and Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger claimed the accolade in 2002 and 2004.
The LMA marked their fiftieth Manager of the Year award with the presentation of the Sir Alex Ferguson Trophy to Conte who they described as “the manager who has made the greatest use of the resources available in the current campaign.”
