Commission denies receiving bribes to fast track  promotion

The Nigerian Police Service Commission has debunked claims that they collect bribe from police officers for special promotion. This followed a statement credited to Chairman of the Senate Committee on Navy, Senator Isah Hamma Misau who alleged that police officers pay as much as two point five million naira to get special promotion through the Police Service Commission (PSC)

The spokesman of the Commission, Ikechukwu Ani however denied the allegation regarding it as untrue. Ani also clarified that the commission has not and will never collect bribes for promotion not that the Inspector General Of Police sends recommendations  while the commission considers the promotion and takes a decision
