CAFCL: Lobi Stars – UMS Clash Moved To Enugu Over Makurdi Airport Issue

Lobi Stars CAF Champions League preliminary round fixture against Cameroonian side, UMS de Loum scheduled to hold today has been moved to the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium, Enugu. The Cameroonians were denied landing right at the Makurdi airport prompting the Confederation of African Football to shift the venue of the match.

The Makurdi club lost 1-0 to the Cameroonians in the first leg last week and have now been denied the opportunity of playing in front of their fans at the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi. Players and officials of Lobi stars are now on their way to Enugu to honour the game. The match will kick-off at 4pm Nigerian time.

Lobi Stars are looking to become the second Nigerian club to win the CAF Champions League title after Enyimba won the title in 2003 and 2004.
