AVM Morgan asked to proceed on retirement leave

The federal government of Nigeria has asked Chief of Defence Intelligence, AVM Moday Riku Morgan to proceed on retirement leave.AVM-Morgan

The development is coming barely one week after a faceless group, which claimed to be Idoma leaders asked President Muhammadu Buhari to sack the defence boss for dabbling into home politics.

It is gathered that though, Morgan is now due for retirement, President Buhari had earlier promised to extend his tenure for his bravery and vast experience.

Military sources said that Morgan was however informed to proceed on retirement leave with immediate effect on Wednesday after which he will finally bow out of service. His leave starts today, according to sources.
