With the high level of insecurity challenges facing the country today, especially kidnapping, it is pertinent to ensure that our children and wards are safe and not exposed to any form of harm.
In view of this and as schools resume for new academic calendar, the president of the Kwara state chapter of the National association of proprietors of private schools NAPPS, Dr Temitope Ajibola has appealed to all parents to be security conscious by ensuring proper monitoring of their children.
Speaking with our correspondent, olarotimi oshin , the NAPPS, president said in light of the recent security challenges in the country, it is important that all schools and parents to have adequate conversations on security improvement and measures.
He urged parents to always drop their kids inside the school, behind the school gate not at the gate, noting that Many kids walk home and some play or loiter outside the school gates.
Speaking on the arrangement of tricycle operators popularly called okada by some parents to drop their kids at school daily, Dr Ajibola urged parents to revisit the idea, saying safety measures must be the priority of all parents and schools.
Speaking on roles of teachers in ensuring academic improvement in Nigeria, Dr Afolabi who said private schools remain the best alternative in the country, appealed to teachers to give their best, saying they will surely be rewarded on earth and in heaven.
