APC youths charged to avoid unhealthy political rivalry

Youths under the aegis of Integrity forum have again called on the entire youths in Ilorin East to shun all sort of political divides and ensure there is peace in the local government.

The youths, who bemoaned the ongoing intrigue  at all levels of the party said it is time to make peace and forge ahead for the development of the party and the state.

Speaking through the chairman of the forum, Comrade Muhammed Abdulqadir, said “it’s hightime we came to a round table and solved the intrigues surrounding the party and entire governance in the state, as opportunities are eluding the youths in the local government due to the ongoing party crisis.”

While noting that the forum was part of the movement that installed the present administration under Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, he said the youths participated actively with efforts and determination, to ensure the government succeeded.

He said “We thank God that today, we are able to install a new government in the state. When you look at the situation in Nigeria, especially Kwara State and particularly Ilorin East local government, we are unable to be at the right place because things were not done the right way”.

“As we plan to embark on fresh membership registration which will qualify them to contest for any public office, we urge all youths to troupe out en mass and ensure they register so as to be part of decision making within the party.”

A member of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Aliu Jimoh on his own admonished youths, particularly those from the Integrity forum, to ensure active participation in politics which will enable them to have a common ground in the upcoming general elections.

Pledging his support for the forum, the honorable added that he has been part of the forum right from the time it started political engagement which installed the present government in Kwara.

In his sermon, a renowned cleric, Sheikh Abdulrahman Babaabiamo, charged the youths to embrace unity among themselves in order to achieve the desired objectives.

He further stressed that they should see themselves as brothers and work in close contact so that they can form a formidable force.
