The National Legal Adviser of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Muiz Banire (SAN) has resigned over allegations of N500,000 judge bribery.
Banire is being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for allegedly giving N500,000 to Justice Terseer Agbadu-Fishim of the National Industrial Court.
He however claimed that the money was a gift to the judge who he referred to as an old friend.
Banire said he was stepping down pending the outcome of the investigation by the EFCC.
He said he was doing so in the interest of the image of the party.
