Omotowa who stated this at the inauguration of the NLNG Engineering Research Centre at the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, Said the NLNG has reduced Nigeria’s gas flaring from over sixty-five per cent to less than twenty per cent currently.
Omotowa added that prior to the establishment of the NLNG, Nigeria was the second highest gas flaring nation in the world.
Speaking at the official commissioning of the research centre which gulped two billion naira, the NLNG boss said Unilorin was chosen among other universities based on their relative ranking by the Nigeria University Commission and their world ranking position.
