The President and founder, African Broadband Limited, owners of Royal Fm, Royaltimes and Royal TV online, Engineer Gbenga Adebayo marked his golden anniversary with a call on every fortunate individual to do something in making life worth living for others.
Adebayo made this solemn call at his fiftieth birthday thanksgiving service held at the All Souls Anglican Church, Lekki, Lagos. A grateful and joyous Adebayo used the occasion to raise fund for Children living with disabilities, the Oke-Igbala leprosarium and the construction of the new All Souls Church auditorium.
He charged every privileged Nigerian to re-examine themselves and do something worthwhile to influence the life of the disadvantaged for the better.
Flanked by his wife and siblings, the business doyen said the event was to give gratitude to God for sparing his life till fifty despite medical forecast that he will not live beyond forty years. The entrepreneur said he is grateful to God for also making him sail through several near-death experiences and challenges in life.
Dignitaries at the colourful ceremony include a former Governor of Imo state, Retired Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Allison Madueke, the Chief Executive Officer of Airtel, Mr Olusegun Olusanya, Justice Akinbami, Mr Tunde Soyemi of American towers, 9mobile top official, Mr Chidozie amongst others.
