Kwara State Government says it will receive three-point-two billion naira as federal allocation for April.

In statement issued in Ilorin on Wednesday, the State Commissioner for Finance, Alhaji Demola Banu said the April allocation, comprises statutory allocation of one-point-nine billion naira, Value Added Tax (VAT) amounting to eight hundred and sixty-five million naira, exchange gain of three-point-six million naira, foreign exchange equalisation of seventy-one million naira, additional NNPC funds amounting to fifty-four million naira as well as goods and valuable contribution of three hundred million naira.

Banu said local government councils in the state, on their part, were allocated two-point-four billion naira. A breakdown of the figures, according to the Commissioner, shows statutory allocation of one-point-six billion naira, VAT of four hundred and ninety million naira, foreign exchange equalization of forty-seven million naira, exchange gain of two million naira, additional NNPC funds of thirty-five million naira as well as goods and valuables contribution of one hundred and ninety-seven million naira.
