As the University of Ilorin commenced the graduation ceremony for six thousand and sixty nine students, the university is also set to admit less than eleven thousand applicants out of the one hundred and three thousand two hundred and thirty eight applicants which represent 10% of the applicants.
Speaking at the 32nd convocation press briefing of the University of Ilorin, the vice chancellor of the institution, Professor Abdulganiyu Amballi explained that the institution is under pressure of high number of admission seekers, noting that some counterpart federal universities are currently having one hundred and forty eight applicants as against unilorin applicants.
Amballi who was recently voted as the chairman of association of West Africa universities said university of Ilorin shall remain committed to improving on innovative programmes in a bid to meeting the rationale for the establishment of the university.
The university produced sixty seven first class; one thousand five hundred and five second class upper; three thousand two hundred; one thousand, one hundred and twenty four third class; and seventy Pass.
