The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has enjoined government at all levels to expedite action towards prioritising the welfare of the people of the state, stressing that rapid growth and development are desired in the nation.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari who made the call in his sallah sermon delivered shortly after the two rakats prayer led by the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Alhaji Muhammad Bashir Soliu marking this year’s Eid-el-Kabir Sallah celebrations urged Muslims to continue to love each other and exemplify the teaching of God and His Prophet at all time.
The Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, and the state Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed were dignitaries that graced the event which was conducted under thorough security watch.
The Emir however enjoined Muslims faithful to sustain their religions obligations of living in peace and harmony with fellow human beings.
The Chief Imam Alhaji Muhammad Bashir Soliu in his sermon, however advised Muslims to continue to love each other and be generous most especially at period when economic recession is the order of the day.
